Prevention and early intervention actions help reduce harm and health consequences by enabling individuals to be better prepared to seek help and to support others. Everyone has a responsibility to build and maintain a mentally healthy family, school, and/or workplace culture – one that is inclusive, rejects stigma and discrimination, and actively supports recovery.
School and work inevitably shape our mindsets and behaviors, which can either help or hinder our performance. When a school or organization has a mentally healthy culture, well-being, sense of purpose, learning outcomes, and/or job satisfaction and organizational commitment are more likely to be enhanced.
